When they had been sent on their way by the church,  they passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, describing in detail the conversion of the Gentiles, and they brought great joy to all the brothers and sisters.


After these events, Paul resolved by the Spirit  to pass through Macedonia and Achaia and go to Jerusalem. ‘After I’ve been there,’ he said, ‘it is necessary for me to see Rome as well.’


When our time had come to an end, we left to continue our journey, while all of them, with their wives and children, accompanied us out of the city. After kneeling down on the beach to pray,


that is, to be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine.


So when I have finished this and safely delivered the funds  to them,  , I will visit you on the way to Spain.


and to visit you on my way to Macedonia,  and then come to you again from Macedonia and be helped by you  on my journey  to Judea.


They have testified to your love before the church.  You will do well to send them on their journey  in a manner worthy of God,
