11 I ask, then, have they stumbled so as to fall? Absolutely not! On the contrary, by their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles  to make Israel jealous.

Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? ’  This is the declaration of the Lord God. ‘Instead, don’t I take pleasure when he turns from his ways and lives?


For I take no pleasure in anyone’s death.’ This is the declaration of the Lord God. ‘So repent and live!


Tell them, “As I live #– #this is the declaration of the Lord God  #– #I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked person should turn from his way and live.  Repent, repent of your evil ways! Why will you die, house of Israel? ”


He will come and kill   those farmers and give the vineyard to others.’ But when they heard this they said, ‘That must never happen! ’


As they were leaving, the people  urged them to speak about these matters the following Sabbath.


When they resisted and blasphemed,  he shook out his clothes  and told them, ‘Your blood is on your own heads!  I am innocent.  From now on I will go to the Gentiles.’


But I ask, ‘Did Israel not understand? ’ First, Moses said, I will make you jealous of those who are not a nation; I will make you angry by a nation that lacks understanding.   ,


I ask, then, has God rejected his people?  Absolutely not!  For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham,  from the tribe of Benjamin.


Now if their transgression brings riches for the world, and their failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their fullness bring!


if I might somehow make my own people  , jealous and save some of them.


so they too have now disobeyed, resulting in mercy to you, so that they also may now  receive mercy.
