But as for you, go on your way to the end;  you will rest, and then you will rise  to receive  your allotted inheritance at the end of the days.’


‘Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rise up against parents and have them put to death.


‘But the father told his servants, “Quick! Bring out the best robe   and put it on him; put a ring   on his finger and sandals   on his feet.


They will ban you from the synagogues.   In fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering service   to God.


But I consider my life of no value to myself; my purpose is to finish my course  and the ministry  I received from the Lord Jesus,  to testify to the gospel of God’s grace.


and to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us. This will take place at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels,


I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.


since God had provided something better for us, so that they would not be made perfect without us.


to the assembly of the firstborn whose names have been written  in heaven, to a Judge, who is God of all, to the spirits of righteous people made perfect,


For the person who has entered his rest has rested from his own works, just as God did from his.


He swore by the one who lives for ever and ever,  who created heaven and what is in it, the earth and what is in it, and the sea and what is in it, ‘There will no longer be a delay,


It was permitted to give breath  to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast could both speak and cause whoever would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.


Then I heard a voice from heaven saying, ‘Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ‘Yes,’ says the Spirit, ‘so they will rest from their labours, since their works follow them.’


Then I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the witnesses to Jesus.  When I saw her, I was greatly astonished.


I said to him, ‘Sir,  you know.’ Then he told me: These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation.  They washed their robes and made them white  in the blood of the Lamb.


After this I looked, and there was a vast multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language,  which no one could number,  standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes with palm branches in their hands.
