The nations will escort Israel and bring it to its homeland. Then the house of Israel will possess them as male and female slaves in the Lord’s land.  They will make captives of their captors and will rule over their oppressors.


For look, the Lord is coming from his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity. The earth will reveal the blood shed on it and will no longer conceal her slain.


Woe, you destroyer never destroyed, you traitor never betrayed! When you have finished destroying, you will be destroyed. When you have finished betraying, they will betray you.


If they ask you, “Where will we go? ” tell them: This is what the Lord says: Those destined for death,  to death; those destined for the sword, to the sword. Those destined for famine, to famine; those destined for captivity, to captivity.


He will come and strike down the land of Egypt   #– #those destined for death, to death; those destined for captivity, to captivity; and those destined for the sword, to the sword.


It is good to wait quietly for salvation from the  Lord.


For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it testifies about the end and will not lie. Though it delays, wait for it, since it will certainly come and not be late.


Then Jesus told him, ‘Put your sword back in its place because all who take up the sword will perish by the sword.


For you will be judged by the same standard with which you judge others, and you will be measured by the same measure you use.


By your endurance, gain   your lives.


being strengthened  with all power,  according to his glorious  might, so that you may have great endurance and patience, joyfully


so that you won’t become lazy but will be imitators of those who inherit the promises through faith and perseverance.


I, John, your brother and partner in the affliction,  kingdom,  and endurance  that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.


The nations were angry, but your wrath has come. The time has come for the dead to be judged and to give the reward to your servants the prophets, to the saints, and to those who fear your name, both small and great, and the time has come to destroy those who destroy the earth.


This calls for endurance from the saints,  who keep God’s commands and their faith in Jesus.’


Because they poured out the blood of the saints and the prophets, you have given them blood to drink; they deserve it!


The beast that was and is not, is itself an eighth king, but it belongs to the seven and is going to destruction.


The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to come up from the abyss  and go to destruction.  Those who live on the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world  will be astonished when they see the beast that was, and is not, and is to come.


I know your works #– #your love, faithfulness,   service, and endurance.   I know that your last works are greater than the first.


I know your works, your labour, and your endurance,   and that you cannot tolerate evil people. You have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not,   and you have found them to be liars.


Because you have kept my command to endure, I will also keep you from the hour of testing   that is going to come on the whole world to test those who live on the earth.


Remember, then, what you have received and heard; keep it, and repent. If you are not alert, I will come   like a thief, and you have no idea at what hour I will come upon you.
