Go now, write it on a tablet in their presence and inscribe it on a scroll; it will be for the future, for ever and ever.


‘This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Write on a scroll all the words that I have spoken to you,


The Lord answered me: Write down this vision; clearly inscribe it on tablets so that one may easily read it.


A God-fearing woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth from the city of Thyatira, was listening. The Lord opened her heart to respond to what Paul was saying.


Now a Jew named Apollos,  a native Alexandrian, an eloquent man who was competent in the use of the Scriptures, arrived in Ephesus.


Now from Miletus, he sent to Ephesus and summoned the elders of the church.


If I fought wild beasts in Ephesus  as a mere man, what good did that do me?  If the dead are not raised, Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.   ,


But I will stay in Ephesus  until Pentecost,


Paul,  an apostle of Christ Jesus by God’s will: To the faithful saints  in Christ Jesus  at Ephesus.  ,


Therefore write down this song  for yourselves and teach it to the Israelites; have them sing it,  so that this song may be a witness for me against the Israelites.


For I want you to know how greatly I am struggling  for you, for those in Laodicea,  and for all who have not seen me in person.

The mystery   of the seven stars you saw in my right hand and of the seven golden lampstands is this: The seven stars are the angels   of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands   are the seven churches.


John: To the seven churches in Asia. Grace and peace  to you from  the one who is, who was, and who is to come,  and from the seven spirits  , before his throne,


‘I am the Alpha and the Omega,’  says the Lord God, ‘the one who is, who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.’


And when the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write, but I heard a voice from heaven, saying, ‘Seal up what the seven thunders said,  and do not write it down! ’


Then I heard a voice from heaven saying, ‘Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ‘Yes,’ says the Spirit, ‘so they will rest from their labours, since their works follow them.’


Then he  said to me,  ‘Write: Blessed are those invited to the marriage feast  of the Lamb! ’ He also said to me, ‘These words of God are true.’

I say to the rest of you in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who haven’t known ‘the so-called secrets   , of Satan’   #– #as they say #– #I am not putting any other burden on you.


‘Write to the angel of the church in Smyrna: Thus says the First and the Last,   the one who was dead and came to life:


Then the one seated on the throne said, ‘Look, I am making everything new.’ He also said, ‘Write, because these words  are faithful and true.’


Then he said to me, ‘Don’t seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, because the time is near.


‘I, Jesus, have sent my angel to attest these things to you for the churches. I am the Root   and descendant of David,   the bright morning star.’


‘Write to the angel   of the church in Sardis: Thus says the one who has the seven spirits of God   and the seven stars:   I know your works;   you have a reputation   for being alive, but you are dead.


‘Write to the angel of the church in Laodicea: Thus says the Amen,   the faithful and true witness, the originator   , of God’s creation:


But you have a few people   in Sardis who have not defiled   their clothes,   and they will walk with me in white, because they are worthy.


‘Write to the angel of the church in Philadelphia: Thus says the Holy One, the true one,   the one who has the key of David, who opens and no one will close, and who closes and no one opens:
