If you sin, how does it affect God? If you multiply your transgressions, what does it do to him?


they will eat the fruit of their way and be glutted with their own schemes.


For the apostasy of the inexperienced will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them.


Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but one who hates correction is stupid.


Anyone who ignores discipline despises himself, but whoever listens to correction acquires good sense.  ,


A king’s terrible wrath is like the roaring of a lion; anyone who provokes him endangers himself.


Making a fortune through a lying tongue is a vanishing mist,  a pursuit of death.  ,,


The look on their faces testifies against them, and like Sodom,  they flaunt their sin; they do not conceal it. Woe to them, for they have brought disaster on themselves.


Why should you and your people die  by the sword, famine, and plague as the Lord has threatened against any nation that does not serve the king of Babylon?


Throw off all the transgressions you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit.  Why should you die, house of Israel?


Tell them, “As I live #– #this is the declaration of the Lord God  #– #I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked person should turn from his way and live.  Repent, repent of your evil ways! Why will you die, house of Israel? ”


Paul and Barnabas boldly replied, ‘It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first. Since you reject it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, we are turning to the Gentiles.


But Paul called out in a loud voice, ‘Don’t harm yourself, because we’re all here! ’


If anyone does not love the Lord, a curse be on him. Our Lord, come!


How much worse punishment do you think one will deserve who has trampled on the Son of God, who has regarded as profane  the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?


how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation?  This salvation had its beginning when it was spoken of by the Lord, and it was confirmed to us by those who heard him.
