By rebellious speech an evil person is trapped, but a righteous person escapes from trouble.


A fool’s mouth is his devastation, and his lips are a trap for his life.


My son, if you have put up security for your neighbour or entered into an agreement with   a stranger,


Do this, then, my son, and free yourself, for you have put yourself in your neighbour’s power: Go, humble yourself, and plead with your neighbour.


Burn the carved images of their gods. Don’t covet the silver and gold on the images and take it for yourself, or else you will be ensnared by it, for it is detestable to the Lord your God.
