For anger kills a fool, and jealousy slays the gullible.


The one who has contempt for instruction will pay the penalty, but the one who respects a command will be rewarded.


Anyone who ignores discipline despises himself, but whoever listens to correction acquires good sense.  ,


The road of the upright  avoids evil; the one who guards his way protects his life.


The person who strays from the way of prudence will come to rest in the assembly of the departed spirits.


The one who guards his mouth and tongue keeps himself out of trouble.


There are thorns and snares on the way of the crooked; the one who guards himself stays far from them.


Without revelation  , people run wild, but one who follows divine instruction will be happy.


My son, don’t forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commands;


When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is this: fear God  and keep his commands, because this is for all  humanity.


The one who keeps a command will not experience anything harmful,  and a wise heart knows the right time and procedure.


However, I did give them this command: “Obey me, and then I will be your God, and you will be my people. Follow every way I command you so that it may go well with you.”


Since he heard the sound of the ram’s horn but ignored the warning, his death is his own fault.  If he had taken warning, he would have saved his life.


For what will it benefit someone if he gains the whole world yet loses his life? Or what will anyone give in exchange for his life?


‘You’ve answered correctly,’ he told him. ‘Do this and you will live.’


He said, ‘Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God   and keep it.’


‘If you love me, you will keep   my commands.


Circumcision does not matter and uncircumcision does not matter. Keeping God’s commands is what matters.


and receive whatever we ask from him because we keep his commands  and do what is pleasing in his sight.


For this is what love for God is: to keep his commands. And his commands are not a burden,


‘Blessed   are those who wash their robes,   so that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by the gates.
