Look on every proud person and humble him; trample the wicked where they stand.


Do not misuse the name of the Lord your God, because the Lord will not leave anyone unpunished who misuses his name.


Be assured  that a wicked person will not go unpunished, but the offspring of the righteous will escape.


The Lord has prepared everything for his purpose – even the wicked for the day of disaster.


Iniquity is atoned for by loyalty and faithfulness, and one turns from evil by the fear of the  Lord.


So it is with the one who sleeps with another man’s wife; no one who touches her will go unpunished.


To fear the Lord is to hate evil. I hate arrogant pride, evil conduct, and perverse speech.


The pride of mankind  will be humbled, and human loftiness will be brought low; the Lord alone will be exalted on that day.


For a day belonging to the  Lord of Armies is coming against all that is proud and lofty, against all that is lifted up #– #it will be humbled –


Woe to the wicked #– #it will go badly for them, for what they have done will be done to them.


Listen and pay attention. Do not be proud, for the Lord has spoken.


But he gives greater grace. Therefore he says: God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.   ,
