For the Lord humbled Judah because of King Ahaz of Judah,  who threw off restraint in Judah and was unfaithful to the Lord.


Wisdom resides in the heart of the discerning; she is known  even among fools.


A king favours a prudent servant, but his anger falls on a disgraceful one.


By justice a king brings stability to a land, but a person who demands ‘contributions’ demolishes it.


When Ephraim spoke,  there was trembling; he was exalted in Israel. But he incurred guilt through Baal  and died.
