The Lord then said to Moses, ‘Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt, and the locusts will come up over it and eat every plant in the land, everything that the hail left.’


The lips of the righteous feed many, but fools die for lack of sense.


The mouth of the righteous produces wisdom, but a perverse tongue will be cut out.


A person takes joy in giving an answer; and a timely word #– #how good that is!


The lips of the wise broadcast knowledge, but not so the heart of fools.


Anyone with a wise heart is called discerning, and pleasant speech  increases learning.


A rebuke cuts into a perceptive person more than a hundred lashes into a fool.


Judgements are prepared for mockers, and beatings for the backs of fools.


There is gold and a multitude of jewels, but knowledgeable lips are a rare treasure.


A whip for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, and a rod for the backs of fools.


Though you grind a fool in a mortar with a pestle along with grain, you will not separate his foolishness from him.


The one who commits adultery  lacks sense; whoever does so destroys himself.


He follows her impulsively like an ox going to the slaughter, like a deer bounding towards a trap


The Lord God has given me the tongue of those who are instructed to know how to sustain the weary with a word. He awakens me each morning; he awakens my ear to listen like those being instructed.


They were all speaking well of him  and were amazed by the gracious words that came from his mouth; yet they said, ‘Isn’t this Joseph’s son? ’
