Then the Israelites went and did this; they did just as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron.


‘I give to you and to your sons and daughters all the holy contributions that the Israelites present to the Lord as a permanent statute. It is a permanent covenant of salt  before the Lord for you as well as your offspring.’


Then the Lord spoke to Aaron, ‘Look, I have put you in charge of the contributions  brought to me. As for all the holy offerings  of the Israelites, I have given them to you and your sons as a portion and a permanent statute.


and from the 16,000 people, the tribute to the  Lord was 32 people.


From the Israelites’ half, which Moses separated from the men who fought,


Each one’s holy contribution is his to give; what each one gives to the priest will be his.’


Every holy contribution the Israelites present to the priest will be his.


Don’t take a travelling bag for the road, or an extra shirt, sandals, or staff, for the worker   is worthy of his food.


Let the one who is taught the word share  all his good things with the teacher.


The elders who are good leaders are to be considered worthy of double honour,  especially those who work hard  at preaching and teaching.
