19 God is not a man, that he might lie, or a son of man, that he might change his mind. Does he speak and not act, or promise and not fulfil?

stay in this land as a foreigner, and I will be with you and bless you.  For I will give all these lands to you and your offspring,  and I will confirm the oath that I swore to your father Abraham.


Look, I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go. I will bring you back to this land,  for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.’


Anyone who belongs to Jeroboam and dies in the city, the dogs will eat, and anyone who dies in the field, the birds  will eat, for the Lord has spoken! ”


The word of the Lord that he spoke to Jehu was, ‘Four generations of your sons will sit on the throne of Israel,’  and it was so.


Then the captain, the king’s right-hand man,  , responded to the man of God,  ‘Look, even if the Lord were to make windows in heaven, could this really happen? ’ Elisha announced, ‘You will in fact see it with your own eyes, but you won’t eat any of it.’

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.


Or do you think it’s without reason that the Scripture says: The spirit he made to dwell in us envies intensely?  ,


None of the good promises the Lord had made to the house of Israel failed. Everything was fulfilled.


Furthermore, the Eternal One of Israel  does not lie or change his mind, for he is not man who changes his mind.’


On that day I will carry out against Eli everything I said about his family, from beginning to end.
