19 ‘I give to you and to your sons and daughters all the holy contributions that the Israelites present to the Lord as a permanent statute. It is a permanent covenant of salt  before the Lord for you as well as your offspring.’

The silver from the guilt offering and the sin offering was not brought to the Lord’s temple since it belonged to the priests.


Don’t you know that the Lord God of Israel gave the kingship over Israel to David and his descendants for ever  by a covenant of salt?


He told the people who lived in Jerusalem to give a contribution  for the priests and Levites so that they could devote their energy to the law of the Lord.


Consecrate for Aaron and his sons  the breast of the presentation offering that is presented and the thigh of the contribution that is lifted up from the ram of ordination.


You are to present them before the Lord; the priests will throw salt on them and sacrifice them as a burnt offering to the Lord.


You are to season each of your grain offerings with salt; you must not omit from your grain offering the salt of the covenant  with your God. You are to present salt with each of your offerings.


He may eat the food of his God from what is especially holy as well as from what is holy.


From the cakes he is to present one portion of each offering as a contribution  to the Lord. It will belong to the priest who splatters the blood of the fellowship offering; it is his.


‘The contribution of their gifts also belongs to you. I have given all the Israelites’ presentation offerings  to you and to your sons and daughters as a permanent statute.  Every ceremonially clean person in your house may eat it.


Then the Lord spoke to Aaron, ‘Look, I have put you in charge of the contributions  brought to me. As for all the holy offerings  of the Israelites, I have given them to you and your sons as a portion and a permanent statute.


Take the tribute from their half and give it to the priest Eleazar as a contribution to the Lord.

‘But you are to take the holy offerings you have and your vow offerings and go to the place the Lord chooses.


You are to bring there your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tenths and personal contributions,  your vow offerings and freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks.
