So I stationed people behind the lowest sections of the wall, at the vulnerable areas. I stationed them by families with their swords, spears, and bows.


Sanballat and Geshem  sent me a message: ‘Come, let’s meet together in the villages of  the Ono Valley.’  They were planning to harm me.


Four times they sent me the same proposal, and I gave them the same reply.


The inexperienced one believes anything, but the sensible one watches  his steps.


Whatever your hands find to do, do with all your strength,  because there is no work, planning, knowledge, or wisdom  in Sheol where you are going.


‘Look, I’m sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.


saying, “This man started to build and wasn’t able to finish.”


We   must do the works   of him who sent me   while it is day.   Night is coming when no one can work.
