David answered Gad, ‘I have great anxiety. Please, let us fall into the Lord’s hands because his mercies are great,  but don’t let me fall into human hands.’


and none there will say, ‘I am ill.’ The people who dwell there will be forgiven  their iniquity.


Indeed, it was for my own well-being that I had such intense bitterness; but your love has delivered me from the Pit of destruction, for you have thrown all my sins behind your back.


‘I am the one, I sweep away your transgressions for my own sake and remember your sins no more.


Isn’t Ephraim a precious son to me, a delightful child? Whenever I speak against him, I certainly still think about him. Therefore, my inner being yearns for him; I will truly have compassion on him. This is the  Lord’s declaration.


No longer will one teach his neighbour or his brother, saying, “Know the Lord,”  for they will all know me, from the least to the greatest of them’   #– #this is the Lord’s declaration. ‘For I will forgive their iniquity  and never again remember their sin.


I will purify them from all the iniquity they have committed against me,  and I will forgive all the iniquities they have committed against me, rebelling against me.


In those days and at that time – this is the  Lord’s declaration – one will search for Israel’s iniquity, but there will be none, and for Judah’s sins, but they will not be found, for I will forgive  those I leave as a remnant.


Because of the Lord’s faithful love we do not perish, for his mercies never end.


Even if he causes suffering, he will show compassion according to the abundance of his faithful love.


None of the transgressions he has committed will be held against him.  He will live because of the righteousness he has practised.


I will no longer hide my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the house of Israel.’  This is the declaration of the Lord God.


Seventy weeks are decreed about your people and your holy city – to bring the rebellion to an end, to put a stop to sin, to atone for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy place.


Take words of repentance with you and return to the  Lord. Say to him, ‘Forgive all our iniquity and accept what is good, so that we may repay you with praise  from our   lips.


I will heal their apostasy; I will freely love them, for my anger will have turned from him.


So the angel of the Lord   said to those  standing before him, ‘Take off his filthy clothes! ’ Then he said to him, ‘See, I have removed your iniquity from you,  and I will clothe you with festive robes.’


For sin will not rule over you, because you are not under the law  but under grace.


because if you live according to the flesh, you are going to die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body,  you will live.


then he will restore your fortunes,  , have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the peoples where the Lord your God has scattered you.


The Lord your God will circumcise your heart  and the hearts of your descendants, and you will love him with all your heart and all your soul so that you will live.


The Lord will indeed vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants when he sees that their strength is gone and no one is left #– #slave or free.


He gave himself for us  to redeem us from all lawlessness and to cleanse for himself a people for his own possession,  eager to do good works.


For I will forgive their wrongdoing, and I will never again remember their sins.   ,,


The one who commits  sin is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God  was revealed  for this purpose: to destroy the devil’s works.
