An  account  of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the Son of David,  the Son of Abraham:


The blind receive their sight, the lame walk, those with leprosy   are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor are told the good news,


Just then a Canaanite woman from that region came and kept crying out,  ‘Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely tormented by a demon.’


‘Lord,’ he said, ‘have mercy on my son, because he has seizures  and suffers terribly. He often falls into the fire and often into the water.


As they were leaving Jericho, a large crowd followed him.


When the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonders that he did and the children shouting in the temple, ‘Hosanna to the Son of David! ’ they were indignant


Then the crowds who went ahead of him and those who followed shouted: Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!


When he entered the house, the blind men approached him, and Jesus said to them, ‘Do you believe   that I can do this? ’ They said to him, ‘Yes, Lord.’


Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna   in the highest heaven!


‘And many times it has thrown him into fire or water to destroy  him. But if you can do anything, have compassion  on us and help us.’


and raised their voices, saying, ‘Jesus, Master,  have mercy on us! ’


Then  he said to them, ‘How can they say that the Messiah is the son of David?


At that time Jesus healed many people of diseases,  afflictions, and evil spirits,  and he granted sight to many blind people.


Doesn’t the Scripture  say that the Messiah comes from David’s  offspring  and from the town of Bethlehem,  where David lived? ’


concerning his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who was a descendant of David  , according to the flesh


The ancestors are theirs,  and from them, by physical descent,  came the Christ,  who is God  over all,  praised forever.  , Amen.
