I continued watching in the night visions, and suddenly one like a son of man was coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was escorted before him.


Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man,   it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the one to come.


For as Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish   , for three days and three nights,   so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights.


For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.’


He replied, ‘The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man;


When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi,  , he asked his disciples, ‘Who do people say that the Son of Man is? ’


For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father,   and then he will reward each according to what he has done.


As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus commanded them,  ‘Don’t tell anyone about the vision until the Son of Man is raised   from the dead.’


Jesus said to them, ‘Truly I tell you, in the renewal of all things,   when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne,   you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.


For whoever is ashamed   of me and my words   in this adulterous and sinful   generation,   the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when he comes in the glory   of his Father   with the holy   angels.’


‘And I say to you, anyone who acknowledges   me before others, the Son of Man   will also acknowledge him before the angels of God,


I tell you that he will swiftly grant them justice. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes,   will he find faith on earth? ’


This will be the sign for you:  You will find a baby wrapped tightly in cloth and lying in a manger.’


They hurried off and found both Mary and Joseph, and the baby who was lying in the manger.


Then she gave birth to her firstborn son, and she wrapped him tightly in cloth and laid him in a manger,  because there was no guest room available for them.


But be alert at all times,   praying that you may have strength   to escape   all these things that are going to take place and to stand before the Son of Man.’


Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward; Susanna; and many others who were supporting them from their possessions.


Jesus told him, ‘Foxes have dens, and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.’


Then he said, ‘Truly I tell you, you will see heaven opened and the angels of God   ascending and descending   on the Son of Man.’


Then the crowd replied to him, ‘We have heard from the law that the Messiah will remain for ever.  So how can you say, “The Son of Man   must be lifted up”? Who is this Son of Man? ’


When  he had left, Jesus said, ‘Now the Son of Man   is glorified, and God is glorified   in him.


No one has ascended   into heaven   except the one who descended from heaven   #– #the Son of Man.   ,


‘Just as Moses   lifted up the snake in the wilderness,   so the Son of Man must be lifted up,


Don’t work for the food that perishes   but for the food that lasts for eternal life,   which the Son of Man   will give you, because God the Father   has set his seal of approval on him.’


So Jesus said to them, ‘Truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man   and drink his blood,   you do not have life in yourselves.


Then what if you were to observe the Son of Man   ascending   to where he was before?


He said, ‘Look, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God! ’


For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ: Though he was rich,  for your sake he became poor,  so that by his poverty you might become rich.
