Elisha replied, ‘Don’t kill them. Do you kill those you have captured with your sword or your bow? Set food and water in front of them so they can eat and drink and go to their master.’


A person’s insight gives him patience, and his virtue is to overlook an offence.


Then Jesus said, “Father,   forgive   them, because they do not know what they are doing.”   , And they divided his clothes and cast lots.


‘I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another.


But Paul called out in a loud voice, ‘Don’t harm yourself, because we’re all here! ’


He knelt down and cried out with a loud voice,  ‘Lord, do not hold this sin against them! ’ And after saying this, he fell asleep.


Bless those who persecute you;  bless and do not curse.


See to it that no one repays evil for evil  to anyone,  but always pursue what is good for one another and for all.


when he was insulted, he did not insult in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten but entrusted himself to the one who judges  justly.


not paying back evil for evil  or insult for insult but, on the contrary, giving a blessing,  since you were called for this, so that you may inherit a blessing.


and said to David, ‘You are more righteous than I, for you have done what is good to me though I have done what is evil to you.
