19 Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commands and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever does and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Those who have insight will shine like the bright expanse of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.


‘Truly I tell you, among those born of women no one greater than John the Baptist has appeared,   but the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.


Jesus said to them, ‘Truly I tell you, in the renewal of all things,   when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne,   you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.


It must not be like that among you. On the contrary, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,


teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember,   I am with you always,   to the end of the age.’


For he will be great in the sight of the Lord and will never drink wine or beer.  He will be filled with the Holy Spirit  while still in his mother’s womb.


‘But woe   to you Pharisees! You give a tenth   , of mint, rue, and every kind of herb, and you bypass   justice   and love for God.   , These things you should have done without neglecting the others.


He told them, ‘Whoever welcomes   this little child in my name welcomes me. And whoever welcomes me welcomes him who sent me.   For whoever is least among you #– #this one is great.’

And why not say, just as some people slanderously claim we say, ‘Let us do what is evil so that good may come’?  Their condemnation is deserved!


What should we say then?  Should we continue in sin so that grace may multiply?


What then? Should we sin because we are not under the law but under grace?  Absolutely not!


Be careful to do everything I command you; do not add anything to it or take anything away from it.


“Anyone who does not put the words of this law into practice is cursed.” And all the people will say, “Amen! ”


But you, man of God, flee from these things, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love,  endurance,  and gentleness.


This saying is trustworthy.  I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed God might be careful to devote themselves to good works. These are good and profitable for everyone.


And when the chief Shepherd  appears, you will receive the unfading crown  of glory.


Everyone who commits sin practises lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness.


But I have this against you: You tolerate the woman Jezebel,   who calls herself a prophetess and teaches and deceives my servants to commit sexual immorality and to eat meat sacrificed to idols.


‘Therefore, this is the declaration of the Lord, the God of Israel: “I did say that your family and your forefather’s family would walk before me for ever.  But now,” this is the Lord’s declaration, “no longer! For those who honour me I will honour,  but those who despise me will be disgraced.
