Then the Lord said to me, ‘Even if Moses and Samuel  should stand before me,  my heart would not go out to these people. Send them from my presence, and let them go.


Even if Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live’ #– #the declaration of the Lord God  #– #‘they could not rescue their son or daughter. They would rescue only themselves by their righteousness.


‘Look, I’m sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.


Five of them were foolish and five were wise.


The foolish ones said to the wise ones, “Give us some of your oil, because our lamps are going out.”


‘Therefore,   everyone who hears these words   of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.


Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible, your heart’s intent may be forgiven.
