He has wrecked his temple as if it were merely a shack in a field, destroying his place of meeting. The Lord has abolished appointed festivals and Sabbaths in Zion. He has despised king and priest in his fierce anger.


Therefore, I will take back my grain in its time and my new wine in its season; I will take away my wool and linen, which were to cover her nakedness.


For whoever has, more will be given to him, and he will have more than enough; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.


‘He will completely destroy those terrible men,’ they told him, ‘and lease his vineyard to other farmers who will give him his fruit at the harvest.’


‘ “So take the talent from him and give it to the one who has ten talents.

Remember then how far you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first.   Otherwise, I will come to you   and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.
