Leave them alone! They are blind guides.   And if the blind guide the blind, both will fall into a pit.’


‘Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. For you don’t go in, and you don’t allow those entering to go in.   ,


Blind fools! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctified the gold?


Blind people!   For which is greater, the gift or the altar that sanctifies the gift?


Blind guides!   You strain out a gnat, but gulp down a camel!


Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup,   so that the outside of it   may also become clean.


Again I testify to every man who has himself circumcised that he is bound to do the entire law.


Above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath.  But let your ‘yes’ mean ‘yes,’ and your ‘no’ mean ‘no,’ so that you won’t fall under judgement.
