He will not argue or shout, and no one will hear his voice in the streets.


For as Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish   , for three days and three nights,   so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights.


From  then on Jesus began to point out to his disciples that it was necessary for him to go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders, chief priests, and scribes, be killed, and be raised the third day.


and said, ‘Sir, we remember that while this deceiver was still alive he said, “After three days I will rise again.”


Then Jesus told him, ‘See that you don’t tell anyone;   but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.’


Then he gave them strict orders that no one should know about this  and told them to give her something to eat.


He ordered them to tell no one,  but the more he ordered them, the more they proclaimed it.


They kept this word  to themselves, questioning what ‘rising from the dead’ meant.


Suddenly, looking round, they no longer saw anyone with them except Jesus.


He also said to them, ‘This is what is written:   The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead the third day,


After the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. They kept silent, and at that time told no one what they had seen.
