he says, ‘It is not enough for you to be my servant raising up the tribes of Jacob and restoring the protected ones of Israel. I will also make you a light for the nations, to be my salvation to the ends of the earth.’


‘Yes, Lord,’ she said, ‘yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.’


so that you may be   children of your Father in heaven. For he causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.


He said to her, ‘Let the children be fed first, because it isn’t right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.’


Then he told her, ‘Because of this reply, you may go. The demon has left your daughter.’


since there is no distinction between Jew and Greek,  because the same Lord  of all  richly blesses all who call on him.


Or is God the God of Jews only?  Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too,


This grace was given to me #– #the least of all the saints #– #to proclaim to the Gentiles the incalculable riches  of Christ,
