The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, shining brighter and brighter until midday.


Like an apricot  tree among the trees of the forest, so is my love among the young men. I delight to sit in his shade, and his fruit is sweet to my taste.


They will not harm or destroy each other on my entire holy mountain, for the land will be as full of the knowledge of the  Lord as the sea is filled with water.


Each will be like a shelter from the wind, a refuge from the rain, like flowing streams  in a dry land and the shade of a massive rock in an arid land.


The Lord’s anointed, the breath of our life,  , was captured in their traps. We had said about him, ‘We will live under his protection among the nations.’


I will plant it on Israel’s high mountain so that it may bear branches, produce fruit, and become a majestic cedar. Birds of every kind will nest under it, taking shelter in the shade of its branches.


It’s the smallest of all the seeds, but when grown, it’s taller than the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the sky come and nest in its branches.’


It’s like a mustard seed   that, when sown upon the soil, is the smallest of all the seeds on the ground.


He was speaking the word  to them with many parables  like these, as they were able to understand.
