As  he passed alongside the Sea of Galilee,  he saw Simon  and Andrew,  Simon’s brother, casting a net into the sea   #– #for they were fishermen.


and to have authority to  drive out demons.


and to James  the son of Zebedee,  and to his brother John,  he gave the name ‘Boanerges’ (that is, ‘Sons of Thunder’  );


When daylight came, he summoned his disciples,  and he chose twelve of them, whom he also named apostles:


and he brought Simon to Jesus. When Jesus saw him, he said, ‘You are Simon, son of John.   You will be called Cephas’   (which is translated ‘Peter’  ).


When they arrived, they went to the room  upstairs where they were staying: Peter, John, James, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, Bartholomew, Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.


What I am saying is this: One of you says, ‘I belong to Paul,’ or ‘I belong to Apollos,’  or ‘I belong to Cephas,’  or ‘I belong to Christ.’


whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas  or the world or life  or death  or things present or things to come   #– #everything is yours,


Don’t we have the right to be accompanied by a believing wife  like the other apostles,  the Lord’s brothers, and Cephas?


Simeon  Peter,  a servant and an apostle  of Jesus Christ: To those who have received a faith equal to ours through the righteousness  of our God and Saviour  Jesus Christ.
