Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks, he gave it to them and said, ‘Drink from it, all of you.


As  they were eating, he took bread,  blessed and broke  it, gave it to them,  and said, ‘Take it; this is my body.’


He said to them, ‘This is my blood of the covenant,   , which is poured out   for many.


Then he took a cup,  and after giving thanks,  he said, ‘Take this and share it among yourselves.


Whoever observes the day, observes it for the honour of the Lord.  Whoever eats, eats for the Lord, since he gives thanks to God;  and whoever does not eat, it is for the Lord that he does not eat it, and he gives thanks to God.


The cup  of blessing  that we bless, is it not a sharing in the blood of Christ? The bread  that we break, is it not a sharing in the body of Christ?
