Then God said, ‘Let there be light,’  and there was light.


When he saw the crowds, he felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dejected,  like sheep without a shepherd.


Then  a man with leprosy  , came to him and, on his knees,  , begged him, ‘If you are willing, you can make me clean.’


Immediately the leprosy  left him, and he was made clean.


He got up, rebuked  the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Silence!   Be still! ’ The wind ceased, and there was a great calm.


Then he took the child  by the hand and said to her, ‘Talitha koum’  (which is translated, ‘Little girl, I say to you, get up’   ).


When he went ashore, he saw a large crowd and had compassion  on them, because they were like sheep  without a shepherd. Then he began to teach them many things.


The Son is the radiance  of God’s glory and the exact expression  of his nature,  sustaining all things by his powerful word.  After making purification for sins,  he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.  ,


Therefore, he had to be like his brothers and sisters in every way, so that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in matters  pertaining to God, to make atonement  , for the sins of the people.


For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathise with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way as we are,  yet without sin.
