The Spirit of the Lord God is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal  the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners;


Jesus was aware of this and withdrew. Large crowds  followed him, and he healed them all.


When he went ashore,  he saw a large crowd, had compassion on them, and healed their sick.


Which of the two did his father’s will? ’ They said, ‘The first.’ Jesus said to them, ‘Truly I tell you, tax collectors and prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God before you.


Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruit.


He has satisfied the hungry with good things and sent the rich away empty.


Jesus replied to them, ‘It is not those who are healthy who need a doctor, but those who are ill.


Afterwards he was travelling from one town and village to another,  preaching and telling the good news of the kingdom of God.  The Twelve were with him,


So he said, ‘The secrets of the kingdom of God have been given for you   to know, but to the rest it is in parables, so that Looking they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.   ,


When the apostles returned,  they reported to Jesus all that they had done.  He took them along and withdrew privately to a  town called Bethsaida.


Late in the day,  the Twelve approached and said to him, ‘Send the crowd away,  so that they can go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find food and lodging, because we are in a deserted place here.’


Then he sent them to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.


‘My food is to do the will of him   who sent me   and to finish his work,’   Jesus told them.


Everyone the Father gives me will come to me, and the one who comes to me I will never cast out.


proclaiming the kingdom of God  and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness  and without hindrance.


How, then, can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him?  And how can they hear without a preacher?


So faith comes from what is heard,  and what is heard comes through the message about Christ.  ,


For even Christ did not please himself.  On the contrary, as it is written, The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.   ,


Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and encourage with great patience and teaching.


Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in time of need.
