Now the one sown among the thorns #– #this is one who hears the word, but the worries of this age   and the deceitfulness   of wealth   choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.


but the worries   of this age,   the deceitfulness   , of wealth,   and the desires   for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.


No   servant can serve two masters, since either he will hate   one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.’


‘Be on your guard,   so that your minds are not dulled   from carousing,   drunkenness,   and worries of life,   or that day will come on you unexpectedly


And the seed on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy. Having no root, these believe for a while and fall away in a time of testing.


But the seed in the good ground #– #these are the ones who, having heard the word with an honest and good heart, hold on to it and by enduring,   produce fruit.


Other seed fell among thorns; the thorns grew up with it and choked it.


If anyone does not remain in me, he is thrown aside   like a branch and he withers. They gather them, throw them into the fire,   and they are burned.


Instruct those who are rich in the present age not to be arrogant  or to set their hope on the uncertainty of wealth, but on God,  who richly provides us with all things  to enjoy.


because Demas  has deserted me,  since he loved this present world, and has gone to Thessalonica.  Crescens has gone to Galatia,  Titus  to Dalmatia.


Therefore, let us leave the elementary teaching about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, faith in God,
