The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, “Look, a glutton and a drunkard,   a friend of tax collectors and sinners! ”   Yet wisdom is vindicated   by her deeds.’


For if you love those who love you, what reward will you have? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same?


While he was reclining at the table in the house, many tax collectors and sinners came to eat with Jesus and his disciples.


As Jesus went on from there,  he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office, and he said to him, ‘Follow me,’ and he got up and followed him.


While he was reclining at the table in Levi’s house, many tax collectors  and sinners  were eating  with Jesus and his disciples, for there were many who were following him.


All  the tax collectors  and sinners were approaching to listen to him.


So  they gave a dinner for him there; Martha  was serving them, and Lazarus was one of those reclining at the table with him.


If any of the unbelievers invites you over and you want to go, eat everything that is set before you, without raising questions for the sake of conscience.
