In the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, while I was among the exiles by the Chebar Canal,  the heavens were opened  and I saw visions of God.


After dismissing the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. He stayed there alone well into the night.


Yet he often withdrew to deserted places and prayed.


While he was praying in private  and his disciples were with him, he asked them, ‘Who do the crowds say that I am? ’


Then he said, ‘Truly I tell you, you will see heaven opened and the angels of God   ascending and descending   on the Son of Man.’


beginning from the baptism of John until the day he was taken up from us #– #from among these, it is necessary that one become a witness with us of his resurrection.’
