But Naaman got angry and left, saying, ‘I was telling myself: He will surely come out, stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, and wave his hand  over the place and cure the skin disease.


At that time  Herod the tetrarch  heard the report about Jesus.


King  Herod  heard about it, because Jesus’s name  had become well known. Some  said, ‘John the Baptist  has been raised from the dead,  and that’s why miraculous powers  are at work  in him.’


Calling the crowd along with his disciples, he said to them, ‘If anyone wants to follow after me, let him deny himself,   take up his cross,   and follow me.


Then he said to them, ‘No doubt you will quote this proverb   to me: “Doctor, heal yourself. What we’ve heard that took place in Capernaum,   do here in your home town also.” ’


saying, ‘Give me this power also so that anyone I lay hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.’
