These are the family records  of Noah. Noah was a righteous man,  blameless among his contemporaries;  Noah walked with God.


There was a man in the country of Uz  named Job.  He was a man of complete integrity,  who feared God and turned away from evil.


Then the Lord said to Satan, ‘Have you considered my servant Job? No one else on earth is like him, a man of perfect integrity,  who fears God and turns away from evil.’


On that day it will be said, ‘Look, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he has saved us. This is the Lord; we have waited for him. Let’s rejoice and be glad in his salvation.’


‘Comfort, comfort my people,’ says your God.


Mankind, he has told each of you what is good and what it is the  Lord requires of you: to act justly, to love faithfulness, and to walk humbly with your God.


Then the Lord descended in the cloud and spoke to him.  He took some of the Spirit who was on Moses and placed the Spirit on the seventy elders. As the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied,  but they never did it again.


But Moses asked him, ‘Are you jealous on my account?  If only all the Lord’s people were prophets and the Lord would place his Spirit on them! ’


Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent member of the Sanhedrin who was himself looking forward  to the kingdom of God,  came and boldly went to Pilate  and asked for Jesus’s body.


When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped inside her, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.


Both were righteous in God’s sight,  living blamelessly  according to all the commands and requirements of the Lord.


Then his father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit  and prophesied:


At that very moment,  she came up and began to thank God and to speak about him to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.  ,


who had not agreed with their plan  and action. He was from Arimathea, a Judean town, and was looking forward to the kingdom of God.


He was a devout man and feared God along with his whole household. He did many charitable deeds for the Jewish people and always prayed to God.


They said, ‘Cornelius, a centurion, an upright and God-fearing man, who has a good reputation with the whole Jewish nation, was divinely instructed by a holy angel to call you to his house and to hear a message from you.’


Now there were Jews staying in Jerusalem, devout people from every nation  under heaven.


I always strive to have a clear conscience  towards God and men.


‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own brothers.  You must listen to him.


because no prophecy ever came by the will of man;  instead, men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
