Be careful not to make a treaty with the inhabitants of the land that you are going to enter; otherwise, they will become a snare among you.


A rebuke cuts into a perceptive person more than a hundred lashes into a fool.


Better an open reprimand than concealed love.


Don’t rebuke a mocker, or he will hate you; rebuke the wise, and he will love you.


‘Do not harbour hatred against your brother.  , Rebuke your neighbour directly, and you will not incur guilt because of him.


Then Peter approached him and asked, ‘Lord, how many times must I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? As many as seven times? ’


‘Be on your guard,   so that your minds are not dulled   from carousing,   drunkenness,   and worries of life,   or that day will come on you unexpectedly


Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk #– #not as unwise people but as wise #– #

Be careful not to forget the covenant of the Lord your God that he made with you, and make an idol for yourselves in the shape of anything he has forbidden you.


‘Only be on your guard and diligently watch yourselves,  so that you don’t forget  the things your eyes have seen and so that they don’t slip from your mind  as long as you live. Teach them to your children and your grandchildren.


Make sure that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no root of bitterness springs up, causing trouble and defiling many.


My brothers and sisters, if any among you strays from the truth,  and someone turns him back,


Watch yourselves so that you don’t lose what we  have worked for, but that you may receive a full reward.
