Consider the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they?


He thought to himself, “What should I do, since I don’t have anywhere to store my crops?


Then I’ll say to myself, ‘You have many goods stored up for many years. Take it easy;   eat, drink, and enjoy yourself.’ ”


‘That’s how it is with the one who stores up treasure   for himself and is not rich towards God.’


Consider the ravens:   They don’t sow or reap; they don’t have a storeroom or a barn; yet God feeds them.   Aren’t you worth much more than the birds?


‘For a while he was unwilling, but later he said to himself, “Even though I don’t fear God or respect people,


Then the Lord said, ‘Listen to what the unjust judge says.


Such wisdom does not come down from above but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.


Come now, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will travel to such and such a city and spend a year there and do business and make a profit.’


Instead, you should say, ‘If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.’
