Abraham fell face down. Then he laughed  and said to himself, ‘Can a child be born to a hundred-year-old man? Can Sarah, a ninety-year-old woman, give birth? ’


So she laughed to herself: ‘After I am worn out and my lord is old, will I have delight? ’


Then the captain, the king’s right-hand man,  , responded to the man of God,  ‘Look, even if the Lord were to make windows in heaven, could this really happen? ’ Elisha announced, ‘You will in fact see it with your own eyes, but you won’t eat any of it.’


And Hezekiah had asked, ‘What is the sign that I will go up to the Lord’s temple? ’


Mary asked the angel, ‘How can this be, since I have not had sexual relations with a man? ’


But they had no children because Elizabeth could not conceive, and both of them were well on in years.


He did not weaken in faith when he considered  his own body to be already dead  (since he was about a hundred years old)  and also the deadness of Sarah’s womb.
