David assembled all Israel at Jerusalem  to bring the ark of the Lord to the place he had prepared for it.


all the people gathered together  at the square in front of the Water Gate.  They asked the scribe Ezra  to bring the book of the law of Moses  that the Lord had given to Israel.


Then Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.


an ox and a ram for a fellowship offering to sacrifice before the Lord; and a grain offering mixed with oil. For today the Lord is going to appear  to you.’


Moses said, ‘This is what the Lord commanded you to do, that the glory of the Lord   may appear to you.’


Gather the people #– #men, women, dependents, and the resident foreigners within your city gates #– #so that they may listen and learn to fear  the Lord your God and be careful to follow all the words of this law.
