11 Tagairtí Cros

‘This is what you are to do for them to consecrate them to serve me as priests. Take a young bull and two unblemished rams,

‘Take the fat from the ram, the fat tail, the fat covering the entrails, the fatty lobe of the liver, the two kidneys and the fat on them, and the right thigh (since this is a ram for ordination  );

Then the Lord summoned Moses  and spoke to him from the tent of meeting:

‘But if he cannot afford an animal from the flock, then he may bring to the Lord two turtledoves or two young pigeons  as penalty for guilt for his sin #– #one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering.

‘This is the offering that Aaron and his sons are to present to the Lord on the day that he is anointed: two litres  of fine flour as a regular grain offering, half of it in the morning and half in the evening.

Next he presented the second ram, the ram of ordination,  and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram.

Moses slaughtered it,  took some of its blood, and put it on Aaron’s right earlobe, on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.
