Whoever did not come within three days would forfeit all his possessions,  according to the decision of the leaders and elders, and would be excluded  from the assembly of the exiles.


They will eat the grain offering, the sin offering,  and the guilt offering. Everything in Israel that is permanently dedicated to the Lord will belong to them.


You are to consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim freedom in the land for all its inhabitants. It will be your Jubilee,  when each of you is to return to his property and each of you to his clan.


But if he cannot obtain enough to repay him, what he sold will remain in the possession of its purchaser until the Year of Jubilee. It is to be released at the Jubilee, so that he may return to his property.


But houses in settlements that have no walls round them are to be classified as open fields. The right to redeem such houses stays in effect, and they are to be released at the Jubilee.


But if he does not redeem the field or if he has sold it to another man, it is no longer redeemable.


‘If a person consecrates to the Lord a field he has purchased that is not part of his inherited landholding,


‘Everything in Israel that is permanently dedicated to the Lord   belongs to you.


Nothing set apart for destruction is to remain in your hand, so that the Lord will turn from his burning anger and grant you mercy, show you compassion, and multiply you as he swore to your ancestors.


But the city and everything in it are set apart to the Lord for destruction.  Only Rahab the prostitute and everyone with her in the house will live,  because she hid the messengers we sent.
