‘Observe the Festival of Weeks with the firstfruits of the wheat harvest, and the Festival of Ingathering  at the turn of the agricultural year.


‘You are to count seven sabbatical years, seven times seven years, so that the time period of the seven sabbatical years amounts to forty-nine.


‘On the day of firstfruits, you are to hold a sacred assembly when you present an offering of new grain to the Lord at your Festival of Weeks;  you are not to do any daily work.


When the day of Pentecost had arrived, they were all together in one place.
