For a prostitute’s fee is only a loaf of bread, but the wife of another man  goes after a precious life.


For the blood she shed  is still within her. She put it out on the bare rock; she didn’t pour it on the ground to cover it with dust.


Therefore I say to the Israelites: None of you and no foreigner who resides among you may eat blood.


Wherever you live, you must not eat the blood  of any bird or animal.
