Because of the depravity of your uncleanness – since I tried to purify you, but you would not be purified from your uncleanness – you will not be pure again until I have satisfied my wrath on you.


Then they are to take different stones to replace the former ones and take additional plaster to replaster the house.


the priest is to come and examine it. If the contamination has spread in the house, it is harmful mildew; the house is unclean.


‘But when the priest comes and examines it, if the contamination has not spread in the house after it was replastered, he is to pronounce the house clean because the contamination has disappeared.


For if, having escaped the world’s impurity through the knowledge of the Lord  and Saviour Jesus Christ,  they are again entangled in these things and defeated, the last state is worse for them than the first.


It has happened to them according to the true proverb: A dog returns to its own vomit,   , and, ‘A washed sow returns to wallowing in the mud.’


These people are dangerous reefs  at your love feasts  as they eat with you without reverence. They are shepherds who only look after themselves. They are waterless clouds carried along by winds;  trees in late autumn #– #fruitless, twice dead and uprooted.
