Leviticus 13:6 - Christian Standard Bible Anglicised

6 The priest will examine him again on the seventh day. If the sore has faded and has not spread on the skin, the priest is to pronounce him clean;  it is a scab. The person is to wash his clothes and will become clean.

may you hear their prayer and petition in heaven and uphold their cause.


Who can say, ‘I have kept my heart pure; I am cleansed from my sin’?


There is certainly no one righteous on the earth who does good and never sins.


He will not break a bruised reed, and he will not put out a smouldering wick; he will faithfully bring justice.


and whoever carries any of their carcasses is to wash his clothes and will be unclean until evening.

‘When a person has a swelling,  scab,  or spot on the skin of his body, and it may be a serious disease on the skin  of his body, he is to be brought to the priest Aaron or to one of his sons, the priests.


The priest will then re-examine him on the seventh day. If he sees that the sore remains unchanged and has not spread on the skin, the priest will quarantine him for another seven days.


But if the scab spreads further on his skin after he has presented himself to the priest for his cleansing,  he is to present himself again to the priest.


The one who is to be cleansed must wash his clothes, shave off all his hair, and bathe with water; he is clean. Afterwards he may enter the camp, but he must remain outside his tent for seven days.


Welcome  anyone who is weak in faith,  but don’t argue about disputed matters.


So then, dear friends, since we have these promises,  let us cleanse ourselves from every impurity of the flesh and spirit,  bringing holiness to completion  in the fear of God.


His people have acted corruptly towards him; this is their defect   #– #they are not his children but a devious and crooked generation.


let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed in pure water.


They are physical regulations and only deal with food, drink, and various washings imposed until the time of the new order.


For we all stumble in many ways.  If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is mature, able also to control the whole body.
