The men of Ai struck down about thirty-six of them and chased them from outside the city gate to the quarries,  striking them down on the descent. As a result, the people lost heart.  ,


They will come after us until we have drawn them away from the city, for they will say, “They are fleeing from us as before.” While we are fleeing from them,
