21 When I saw among the spoils a beautiful cloak from Babylon,  two and a half kilograms  of silver, and a bar of gold weighing half a kilogram,  I coveted them and took them.  You can see for yourself. They are concealed in the ground inside my tent, with the silver under the cloak.’

His kingdom started with Babylon,  Erech,  Accad,  and Calneh,  in the land of Shinar.  ,


The woman saw that the tree was good for food and delightful to look at, and that it was desirable for obtaining wisdom. So she took some of its fruit and ate it; she also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.


Jacob’s sons came to the slaughter and plundered the city because their sister had been defiled.


the sons of God  saw that the daughters of mankind were beautiful, and they took any they chose as wives for themselves.


One evening David got up from his bed and strolled around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing #– #a very beautiful woman.


When these diseased men came to the edge of the camp, they went into a tent to eat and drink. Then they picked up the silver, gold, and clothing and went off and hid them. They came back and entered another tent, picked things up, and hid them.


I have made a covenant with my eyes. How then could I look at a young woman?  ,


Do not covet your neighbour’s house. Do not covet your neighbour’s wife, his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbour.


Such are the paths of all who make profit dishonestly; it takes the lives of those who receive it.


Don’t gaze at wine because it is red, because it gleams in the cup and goes down smoothly.


A greedy one  is in a hurry for wealth; he doesn’t know that poverty will come to him.


Guard your heart above all else, for it is the source of life.


For you said, ‘We have made a covenant with Death, and we have an agreement with Sheol; when the overwhelming catastrophe  passes through, it will not touch us, because we have made falsehood our refuge and have hidden behind treachery.’


Woe to those who go to great lengths to hide their plans from the  Lord. They do their works in the dark, and say, ‘Who sees us? Who knows us? ’


Woe to him who dishonestly makes wealth for his house  , to place his nest on high, to escape the grasp of disaster!


He then told them, ‘Watch out and be on your guard   against all greed,   because one’s life is not in the abundance of his possessions.’


There is nothing covered that won’t be uncovered,   nothing hidden that won’t be made known.


But sexual immorality  and any impurity  or greed  should not even be heard of  among you, as is proper for saints.


For know and recognise this: Every sexually immoral  or impure  or greedy  person, who is an idolater, does not have an inheritance in the kingdom  of Christ and of God.


Burn the carved images of their gods. Don’t covet the silver and gold on the images and take it for yourself, or else you will be ensnared by it, for it is detestable to the Lord your God.


Therefore, put to death what belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity,  lust,  evil desire, and greed,  which is idolatry.


Keep your life free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for he himself has said, I will never leave you or abandon you.   ,


Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin, and when sin is fully grown, it gives birth to death.


Achan replied to Joshua, ‘It is true. I have sinned against the Lord, the God of Israel.  This is what I did:


So Joshua sent messengers who ran to the tent, and there was the cloak, concealed in his tent, with the silver underneath.


They have gone astray by abandoning the straight path  and have followed the path of Balaam,  the son of Bosor,  who loved the wages of wickedness
