Isaiah asked, ‘What have they seen in your palace? ’ Hezekiah answered, ‘They have seen everything in my palace. There isn’t anything in my treasuries that I didn’t show them.’


Then Hezekiah encouraged  , all the Levites who performed skilfully before the Lord. They ate at the appointed festival for seven days, sacrificing fellowship offerings and giving thanks to the Lord, the God of their ancestors.


The one who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will find mercy.


I will make a human scarcer than fine gold, and mankind rarer than the gold of Ophir.


Give glory to the  Lord your God before he brings darkness, before your feet stumble on the mountains at dusk. You wait for light, but he brings darkest gloom and makes total darkness.


I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed: Ah, Lord #– #the great and awe-inspiring God  who keeps his gracious covenant  with those who love him  and keep his commands   #– #


Didn’t any return to give glory to God except this foreigner? ’


So a second time they summoned the man who had been blind and told him, ‘Give glory  to God.  We know that this man is a sinner.’


One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.


instructing his opponents with gentleness.  Perhaps God will grant them repentance  leading them to the knowledge of the truth.


Older men  are to be self-controlled, worthy of respect, sensible, and sound in faith, love,  and endurance.


for human anger does not accomplish God’s righteousness.


Achan replied to Joshua, ‘It is true. I have sinned against the Lord, the God of Israel.  This is what I did:


and people were scorched by the intense heat. So they blasphemed the name of God,  who has the power  over these plagues, and they did not repent and give him glory.


Saul commanded him, ‘Tell me what you did.’ Jonathan told him, ‘I tasted a little honey  with the end of the staff I was carrying. I am ready to die! ’


Make images of your tumours and of your mice that are destroying the land. Give glory to Israel’s God,  and perhaps he will stop oppressing you,  , your gods, and your land.
