As the sound of the ram’s horn grew louder and louder, Moses spoke and God answered him in the thunder.


The high-walled fortress will be brought down, thrown to the ground, to the dust.


Streams flowing with water will be on every high mountain and every raised hill on the day of great slaughter when the towers fall.


Raise a war cry against her on every side! She has thrown up her hands in surrender; her defence towers have fallen; her walls are demolished. Since this is the  Lord’s vengeance, take your vengeance on her; as she has done, do the same to her.


By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after being marched round by the Israelites for seven days.


After the seventh time, the priests blew the rams’ horns, and Joshua said to the troops, ‘Shout! For the Lord has given you the city.


So the troops shouted, and the rams’ horns sounded. When they heard the blast of the ram’s horn, the troops gave a great shout, and the wall collapsed.  The troops advanced into the city, each man straight ahead, and they captured the city.


Have seven priests to carry seven trumpets made of ram’s horns in front of the ark. But on the seventh day, march round the city seven times, while the priests blow the rams’ horns.


So Joshua son of Nun summoned the priests and said to them, ‘Take up the ark of the covenant and have seven priests carry seven rams’ horns in front of the ark of the Lord.’


The men in ambush had rushed quickly against Gibeah; they advanced and put the whole city to the sword.


So David got up early in the morning, left the flock with someone to keep it, loaded up, and set out as Jesse had charged him. He arrived at the perimeter of the camp  as the army was marching out to its battle formation shouting their battle cry.


The men of Israel and Judah rallied, shouting their battle cry, and chased the Philistines to the entrance of the valley and to the gates of Ekron.  , Philistine bodies were strewn all along the Shaaraim road  to Gath and Ekron.


When the ark of the covenant of the Lord entered the camp, all the Israelites raised such a loud shout that the ground shook.
