It is not good to eat too much honey or to seek glory after glory.  ,


You who tremble at his word, hear the word of the  Lord: ‘Your brothers who hate and exclude you for my name’s sake have said, “Let the Lord be glorified so that we can see your joy! ” But they will be put to shame.’


Then the Lord said: Name him Lo-ammi, for you are not my people, and I will not be your God.  ,


Jesus spoke these things, looked up to heaven, and said, ‘Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son so that the Son   may glorify you,


Now, Father,   glorify me in your presence with that glory   I had with you before the world existed.


Jesus did this, the first of his signs, in Cana  of Galilee.  He revealed  his glory,  and his disciples believed in him.


‘I do not accept glory   from people,


The one who speaks on his own seeks his own glory;   but he who seeks the glory   of the one who sent him is true,   and there is no unrighteousness in him.


He said this about the Spirit.  Those who believed in Jesus were going to receive the Spirit,  for the Spirit  had not yet been given  because Jesus had not yet been glorified.


You’re doing what your father does.’ ‘We weren’t born  of sexual immorality,’  they said. ‘We have one Father #– #God.’


I do not seek my own glory;   there is one who seeks it and judges.


The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our ancestors,  has glorified his servant Jesus, whom you handed over and denied before Pilate,  though he had decided to release him.


For it is not the one commending himself who is approved, but the one the Lord commends.


It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you. These things have now been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you  by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven   #– #angels long to catch a glimpse of these things.


Through him you believe in God,  who raised him from the dead  and gave him glory,  so that your faith and hope are in God.


For he received honour and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying ‘This is my beloved Son,  with whom I am well-pleased! ’
